    American University of the Caribbean (AUC) is actively seeking an Alumni Relations Coordinator to join thier team. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Student and Alumni Relations, the Alumni Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of alumni programs and events and contributes to organizational initiatives for American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC). The candidate will also assist with the promotion, implementation, and logistics of various alumni programs such as alumni receptions, information seminars, reunions and continuing education programs as well as providing alumni support for admissions and student events.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the recruitment of AUC graduates for University programs including but not limited to information seminars, webinars, and campus visits.
    • Communicate University initiatives and updates to the alumni populations
    • Facilitate the connection of prospective/current students with graduates/clinical students
    • Maintain alumni records through the use of AMA database, Salesforce, surveys, event registrations, etc.
    • Research alumni database identifying outstanding alumni for general publications and or marketing productions.
    • Assist with the coordination of the alumni/student mentoring programs.      
    • Coordinate department and division-wide meetings, as appropriate, and arranges for meeting specifics, such as meals, refreshments and materials.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements including transportation, lodging, conference registrations, travel authorization and claim forms. Processes travel and expense forms for travel requests,
    • Research event opportunities and assist in the marketing of each
    • Represent the department at University sponsored events.
    • Facilitate Alumni communications – social, email, phone
    • Work with diverse and multicultural persons.
    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Previous experience in Alumni Relations preferred or 2-3 years relevant work experience.
    • Maintain an established work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
    • Effectively demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy.

     

    • Effectively demonstrate organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through.
    • Work collaboratively.
    • Maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials.
    • Prioritize, implement, and manage multiple projects and due dates.
    • Demonstrated experience in communication programs and/or integrated student information systems. Experience with Salesforce a plus
    • Computer, web and database maintenance skills required.
    • Demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to travel and requires a willingness to work evenings and weekends.
    • A valid passport is required
