    The Senior Graduate Admissions Advisor - International promotes the admission and matriculation of prospective medical students in an assigned territory by fielding phone calls, conducting interviews, recruiting students, and counseling prospective students from inquiry through to matriculation. The individual will be responsible for the timely resolution of student questions and maintenance of applicant records, and follow-up with students to maximize enrollment.

    • Conducts professional, engaging and challenging interviews of candidates for admission to the medical program.
    • Provides written summary of applicant’s interview.
    • Assists prospective students through to enrollment at the medical school. Strives to meet conversion goals during each stage of the admissions process.
    • Makes decision calls and advises students on next steps.
    • Serves as an advisor to prospective students in regards to the University and its policies and requirements.
    • Provides information to new students and is highly knowledgeable about the AUC mission, history, curriculum, academic policies, campuses and faculty.
    • Develops and maintain relationships with new students including: follow-up and soliciting feedback from students on their admissions progress, encouraging enrollment, and responding to student requests for various forms of material.
    • Data entry of student information from prospects and applicants into the student database; reviews applicant transcripts; processes changes in applicant status and documents changes; follows-up with applicants as necessary to move them forward in the admissions process; and maintains accurate and detailed applicant records.
    • Receives incoming calls and responds in a timely manner to prospective student inquiries; provides prospective students, applicants, and accepted students with detailed information about the application, and resolves questions from accepted students regarding transition to medical school.
    • Serves as a contact and resource person for all admitted students from their territory.
    • Travels overseas to campuses as assigned to maintain and continually improve understanding of medical education and specific AUC operations.
    • Maintains full knowledge of AUC’s MD program so as to be able to effectively communicate the benefits of AUC to others.
    • Completes other duties as assigned.



    • Bachelor’s degree required with 3-5 years of admissions/customer service experience in a professional work environment preferred
    • Superior verbal, organizational, written and professional telephone skills with customer service focus
    • Experience conducting interviewing and writing interview summaries preferred
    • Polished interpersonal skills and the ability to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and managers.
    • This person must be a quick learner and demonstrate accuracy in filing and data processing using multiple student database systems.
    • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be a self-starter
    • Ability to work independently and manage a territory.
    • Highly motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, strategic, logical and methodical thinker.
    • Must be able to inspire loyalty and trust and must be flexible and adaptable.
    • Must have the ability to make ethical decisions, doing what is always best for the students as well as AUC.
